The only people (companies) who can keep up with all the social media sites are major companies who pay people to do it full-time.

1632 & Beyond has to focus our efforts. Our primary social media is a Facebook group (there is also a page) for the simple reason that The Grantville Gazette and Eric Flint had both developed followings there, so it only makes sense. The secondary one will be Instagram because we are working to collect images of Mannington, the real-world town Grantville is based on, and the areas around it. Instagram is the most logical place to share those.

We have created a YouTube channel. The primary new content is videos from around Mannington (Grantville), but don’t skip the playlists! These contain all the old mini-con and con videos of Eric and other authors talking about the 1632verse and related topics. For anyone not familiar with small, rural American homes of the general Appalachian variety, there is also a playlist of real estate listings that show the interior of different homes. The TVs wouldn’t have been flat screens 20+ years ago but otherwise, the homes look pretty much the way they would have in April 2000.

We also have a presence on Twitter (@1632andBeyond), Pinterest, and several other social media sites. There won’t be much original content on those, but we will follow accounts we think might interest our readers and writers and share information we find.
